Acrylic portraits are painted on pre-stretched canvas with painted edges, and are suitable for framing or hanging as-is. Watercolor portraits and caricatures are on heavy watercolor paper and ready for framing.

1. 1.Send me an email indicating your interest. Please include the ordering information below along with any detailed information you wish to include about your preferences.
   

2. 2.Send me three or more pictures by email or regular mail (real photos will be returned upon completion of the artwork).
   

3. 3.I will make an initial sketch and send to you for approval.
   

4. 4.When the painting is completed (normally about four weeks after initial sketch), I will send a digital proof to you for approval or changes.
   

5. 5.Only when you are completely satisfied with your artwork do you send your payment.
   

6. 6.Once your payment is received, I put your completed artwork in the mail.

Photo Tips

Photos should express your pet’s personality. I can work with just about any photo, but here are a few tips for the best results: Close-ups at your pet’s level will reveal the best detail and keep proportions from being distorted. Outdoor pictures create the most interesting and dramatic lighting and show the best detail. When indoors, well-lit photos with no flash are best (flashes wash out features and create red-eye effects). Photos should be in focus as much as possible. Send at least three pictures along with some written information so I can get an accurate idea of your pet’s color and personality. You can let me choose or you can designate which picture you want used.

Your satisfaction is important to me! If for any reason you are not happy with the finished product, return it for a full refund (minus shipping).

Your payment is for the original artwork only. I retain all copyrights, to include use on my website, promotional materials and reproduction (since portraits are often very personal, you may opt-out of commercial reproduction at your request). If you wish to purchase the copyrights to the work for commercial use, that must be negotiated separately. Your payment indicates you have read and agree to these conditions.
